Imagination Library is a program Dolly Parton launched in 1996 to foster the love of reading among preschool children and their families. Her goal is to get children excited about books and insure every child has books to read regardless of their family's income. Each month the Dollywood Foundation mails an age appropriate book to registered children ages from birth to five years old.
Lamplighters of Montmorency County wants to bring Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to all preschool children in Montmorency County, but we need your support. For $30 a year you can sponsor a child living in our community for the program. What a wonderful way to encourage young children to read and get them prepared for school. Your contribution is tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.

As of January 1, 2011, 231 children are currently receiving books and we have
graduated 80 children from the program.
